Reference Verse:
I Timothy 6:13
“I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things………”(NKJV)
This phrase used by Paul, the Apostle as he urges his protege, Timothy, to fight the good fight of faith, got me thinking. God, who gives life to all things or who quickens all things – brings to life, restores something or someone seemingly dead to human eyes.
Jesus said in John 10:10
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy, I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
Lesson:
God is the giver of life, abundant life. What is it that is lying dead within us? Our mind, our soul, our desires, our spirit, whatever it is, God is the one who quickens that which is seemingly dead in our eyes.
The thief, that is, the devil comes to steal. What has he stolen from you?
Has your wealth been stolen? Have you been conned?
Has your physical health been stolen?
Has your happiness been stolen?
Have your blessings been stolen?
There is good news. Jesus came not just to give a pathetic existence, but life to the fullest.
The thief, that is, the devil comes to kill. What has been killed in you?
Have your dreams been murdered?
Have your desires been killed?
Are all your joys killed?
Are your relations with family and friends killed with no scope of restoration?
Is your relation with God alive?
There is good news. Jesus has come to restore, to give back life to all that was dead.
The thief, that is, the devil comes to destroy.
What is destroyed in you?
Your business,
your finances,
your family,
your children,
your life,
your relationships???
Hallelujah….there is good news. Jesus has come to build that which was destroyed.
Can you give whatever is left of you to the Master Builder, Restorer, Giver of life – Jesus Christ?
Be still and know that I am the Lord……. Watch Him as he quickens…….
