Reference:
Jude verse 17-21
But you beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:
How they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts.
These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (NKJV)
Sensual person attributes:
- They would be mockers
- Who walk in their own ungodly lusts
- They cause divisions
- They do not have the Spirit
Spiritual person attributes:
- They build themselves
- On their most holy faith
- Praying in the Holy Spirit
- Keeping in the love of God
- Looking to eternal life
Lesson:
The most striking contrast in the above attributes’ list is that while the sensual person does NOT have the Spirit, a spiritual person prays IN the Holy Spirit.
I understand it in this manner: – The difference between a sensual person and a spiritual person is the presence of the Holy Spirit and all the other deeds will follow.
Is your heart a sanctuary for the Holy Spirit to reside? If your answer is yes;
All around you may be mockery, but you will be genuine.
All around you may be lust, but you will love.
All around you may be divisions, but you will build.
All around you may be unfaithfulness, but you will have faith
All around you may be stormy, but you will be at peace
All around you may be darkness, but you will be in the light.
All around you may be poverty, but you will be wealthy.
All around you may be disease, but you will be healthy.
All around you may be hopelessness, but you will be hopeful.
All around you may be filthy, but you will be holy.
All around you may be stressed for time, but you will be timeless.
All around you may be death, but you will live – eternally.
The panacea for all ills of the Last Days is the Holy Spirit. You need Him necessarily. No exceptions.
